His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do]

the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),   (Ephesians 4:12 AMPC)
 

Step 3 in the STEER process is to equip everyone for the work of the ministry.  Another word for equip is to prepare.  We will prepare the newly converted as well as others, by teaching and demonstrating what it means to be clothed in the whole armor of God - daily.   This armor according to Ephesians 6:10-18 consist of;

1.    Truth - We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free (John 8:32)

2.    Righteousness - We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 5:21)

3.    Peace - He will keep us in perfect peace, if we keep our minds stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3)

4.    Faith - Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)

5.    Salvation - We are saved by faith through grace, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8)

6.    The Word - We hide it in our hearts so that we will not sin against God (Psalms 119:11)

7. ​   Prayer - We will be constant in prayer (Romans 12:12)
